PUFF BALLS® are effective in all kinds of water conditions and can be used from the shore or from a boat. They are successfully used in many combinations with your favorite bait, colored yarns, scents or even by themselves. PUFF BALLS® are the GUIDES’ choice for Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, Muskie and many other fresh water fish.

Color
Our custom colors entice fish to bite. PUFF BALLS® are available in eleven distinctive colors. We have tested hundreds of different colors on many different fish species and in many different water colors and weather conditions. We discovered that the standard fluorescent paint colors available did not provide good enough results.

We worked with a professional paint manufacture to come up with the exact combination of color, fluorescents and pearl essences in a non-toxic water base paint that will change color and highlights in different light conditions. This makes your bait presentation highly visible in all water conditions and depths.

There is no other place in the world that these exact colors and paints are used.

We recommend that you experiment with both color and size, but here are some general guidelines to help you get started. (click to see Color Chart)

Size
PUFF BALLS® are available in three sizes - #1, #2 and #3
- Hook size 4 and smaller use a #1 PUFF BALL
- Hook size 1 & 2 use a #2 PUFF BALL
- All larger size hooks use a #3
